Vanessa Inmon Martin

Business Capture, Senior Manager

F-35 Customer Programs

Vanessa Inmon Martin is a Business Capture Lead in F-35 Customer Programs for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. In this capacity, she is responsible for leading the Corporation’s F-35 Business Capture for Canada, Czech Republic and Greece.


Previously, Mrs. Martin was a Business Manager in F-35 Customer Programs for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. In that role, she was responsible for all aspects of Return on Sales, Cash, Receipts, Orders, Contracts, Financial Negotiations and all remaining aspects of financial performance for Italy, Japan and ACURL in both Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) settings from 2014 to 2019.


She previously served in F-35 Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Venture (BV) Contracts. Prior to these two roles and in the four years previous to these roles, Mrs. Martin graduated from the Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) where she completed rotations in F-35 Estimating, BV Contracts and BV New Business Combat Aircraft.


Mrs. Martin graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and from Southern Methodist University with a Master’s in Business Administration. 



Marcus Payne

Systems Engineer Staff


Marcus Payne is a Lead Systems Engineer on the F-35 Program at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth. In his current role Marcus is responsible for leading the integration and execution of all Development activities, including each Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR), within the United States Reprogramming Lab (USRL) Configuration Update and Refresh Contract (CURC) Program. His experience in Systems Engineering spans across Air Vehicle Flight Test and Sustainment as well as Air System Development and Sustainment.


Preceding his current role Marcus supported F-16 Configuration Management (CM) and F-35 Sustainment CM, both at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth. In addition to working at Lockheed Martin, Marcus also has over 6 years of experience in lean process development and manufacturing engineering at both Parker Aerospace (Stratoflex Products Division) and L3Harris (Link Simulation and Training).


Within the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association (LMLA) Marcus has served as Senior Manager of Certifications (2018-2019), Director of Professional Development (2019) and as the 2019-2020 LMLA President. His passion for leadership and service drive his dedication and support for the LMLA vision and mission and he actively seeks to develop leaders of tomorrow through Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) techniques.

 

Marcus has won awards spanning from BSA’s Eagle Scout in 2004 to LMLA’s Jade Award in 2019. In addition, Marcus is an INCOSE-certified Systems Engineering Professional and he earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2010.




Clifton B. Theus

Project Management and Planing Operations Staff

Supply Chain Management Workforce Development and Change Management Team


Clifton Theus is a Project Manager on the SCM Workforce Development team for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Corporation. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading Supply Chain Management’s learning initiatives and their emerging leadership program.


Previously, Mr. Theus was an Aeronautics Learning Partner of the Talent and Organizational Capability team. In that role, he was responsible for implementing learning solutions for the functions of Engineering & Technology, Ethics and Supply Chain Management from December 2005 to February 2013.


Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Mr. Theus served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions at Dallas Independent School District in Dallas, Texas, as an Educator, campus Math Curriculum Coordinator, and Alliance Association Federal of Teachers campus representative. He was able to use his talents and skills to instruct students based on the Texas Education Agency recommendations and guidelines, lead/trained fellow teachers and staff while also representing their concerns within the teacher’s union.  


Mr. Theus graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Grambling State University and a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M-Commerce, TX both within the discipline of Education.


In addition, Clifton is involved with Toastmaster’s and was awarded the highest award level Distinguish Toastmaster (DTM) and is a past Area 42 Director.  He also represents one of the many Aeronautics’ Ronald McDonald cooking teams as a crew Chief. He is an active member of St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church where he is currently serving on the campus building committee, secretary of the Male Choir and is the Sanctuary Director of the Disciple Usher Board.


He has been a member of LMLA for over 12 years and has participated within LMLA on the scholarship evaluation and interview committee, assist with various recruiting teams, completed the Certified Manager training and is now studying to take the certification exam. He is also an advocate and participant of the Business Training Experts program.



Glenn Hurst

Glenn Hurst is a member of Saint Barnabas Anglican Church in Fort Worth. He’s been married 18 years to his wife Kristie Kerr Hurst who works as Program Manager for American Airlines. Daughter is Emma “Gracie” Hurst a Senior at Argyle HS, and his son Luke Hurst in 8th Grade at Argyle MS.


Glenn’s education is a Master of Manufacturing Systems Management degree from SMU, and a BBA in Finance from UNT. Glenn recently received an Agile SAFe 5.0 Scrum Master Certification. Professional experience includes IT Manager for Allstate Insurance, Agent & Owner of a Farmers Insurance Agency, Banker for Wachovia, Buyer for Nokia, MRP Planner, Buyer, Integrator, IT Admin, and Scrum Master for Lockheed Martin. LMLA experience: Manager of PMP Certifications and brought in Dale Carnegie Training to LMLA. Senior Manger over Professional Development, Senior Manger over Finance, and currently Director of Finance. Eight years with LM Aero, and five years with LMLA.


Glenn’s Interests include:

Why is Glenn Arthur Hurst a good fit for the LMLA Chapter 249 Board of Directors?


A strong passion for learning, servant leadership, and bringing out the best in others. Experience dealing with extremely difficult and challenging situations such as 2017 IRS Tax penalty, 2017-2018 IRS Tax refilling’s, Internal audits, and action committee working with our Accountant to streamline LMLA accounting practices. The NSLS and Dale Carnegie curriculums are the future for growing LMLA membership which I strongly endorse and support.
