Back to the 80's Bowl-a-thon

What if I don’t know how to bowl?
You don't have to be a great bowler to participate in Bowlathons! All you need is enthusiasm! Remember, Bowlathons are a chance to spend time with co-workers, friends and family members while raising money for Junior Achievement.

Can my friends and family bowl?
Definitely! This is a family-friendly event so feel free to make friends and family a part of your team!

Can I bring my kids to Bowlathons?
Children are welcome at Bowlathons when accompanied by an adult. Neither Junior Achievement nor the bowling center are responsible for children left unattended. Child care will not be provided at the bowling center. However, there is a game room within the complex.

Can children bowl?
Children under age 18 may bowl if accompanied by an adult; however, we ask that the parent or guardian of the child raise the $100 per bowler minimum.

How much money do we have to raise?
Each team is asked to set a goal of $625. The minimum per team is $500 (that's $100 for each individual bowler for a team of 5 bowlers).

How do I raise the $100 minimum?
Sign up as many sponsors as possible! A sponsor is anyone who is willing to make a contribution for your participation in the Bowlathon. You can also do fundraisers such as bake sales and raffles as a team! Ask your friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors and acquaintances to help out, too!

Where does my $100 go?
All monies raised during Bowlathons will go toward providing K-12th grade program materials for the 2024-2025 school year. JA programs focus on teaching students personal finance, entrepreneurship and work and college readiness skills.

Who do I give my money to?
All bowlers go to https://secure.qgiv.com/event/20locmartbo/ and follow the steps to register on-line. On-line registration and donations are encouraged; however, if you are collecting cash and check, please request a Donation Envelope and record the funds on the cover (as described on the envelope). All bowlers should turn their donations in to their Team Captain. The company coordinator will then collect all money from the Team Captains and submit to the JA office.

If I don’t bowl, can I make a monetary contribution?
Of course! You are welcome to raise money to support Junior Achievement even if you do not wish to bowl. Ask the team you wish to sponsor if they have registered their team on the event site. Go to https://secure.qgiv.com/event/20locmartbo/ then Search for the team you wish to sponsor and follow the instructions to use your credit or debit card to submit a donation. Otherwise, checks should be made payable to Junior Achievement and should also indicate the specific bowler or team the money needs to be credited to. Checks can be provided to the Team Captain or mailed to Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail, 6300 Ridglea Place, Suite 400, Fort Worth, TX 76116. If mailing, please indicate “2024 Lockheed BAT” and include the Team Name.
